Hello, I hope someone can help me. Unfortunately, Hercules support does not answer me.

Hello fraenkiboy,

Hercules support team may answer your request but in my opinion this request is more related to customization (request for a specific use: then technical forums or community areas are the best areas for such request) than support (request for a general use).

1) I can send the mapping file you ask for but I just want to make sure you really want to map the MID+LOW on the Low knob as, in my opinion, mapping HIGH+MID on the High knob may be more useful since as most sound tracks and speakers play little sound in high frequencies, and more in middle frequencies:
- if you reduce the MID+LOW simultaneously, it sounds as if you reduce the track volume + keep a chirp (which sounds very close to lowering the volume fader while pushing up the High knob),
- while if you reduce HIGH+MID simultaneously, you keep the bass rhythm, which I find useful for transitions.

Anyway, it depends on taste & types of DJing, so if you confirm in this discussion you want a MID+LOW on the low knob, I will send you a mapping for it, but please recheck what you ask for and answer in this discussion, and I will send you the mapping.

2) Djuced team currently works on improving mapping, so in my opinion, if you want to learn to change the mapping by yourself, it may be better to wait for a few months as I expect the mapping process will be different in 6 months - today, I edit xml files and type inside, so it is not very automated.

3) Do you use DJControl Inpulse 200 as deck 3-4 controller together with another DJ controller (probably DJC Inpulse 500) or do you use it alone?

PS: We talked together of a technical issue on a DJC Inpulse 500 in January, then I did not see the photos of the printed circuit board(s) you planned to send. Did you solve your problem?

Hi Fraenkiboy,

I have placed the mapping file on https://we.tl/t-0uIRxukbIJ for the next 7 days with DJC Inpulse 200 controlling Djuced decks 3 & 4 with the High knobs controlling both High and Mid EQ.

Please

1) uncompress the file, to get a file "Hercules DJ Inpulse 200 Deck 3 4 MID HIGH.xml"

2) copy the xml file in the folder Documents\DJUCED\midi

3) then run Djuced with DJC Inpulse 200 connected to the computer

4) in Djuced Settings > Mapping, select the map "Hercules DJC Inpulse 200 Deck 3 4 MID-HIGH"

and it should be loaded.

PS: I don't think updating DJCI 500 firmware may break it, but I understand your being careful and if I were you, when having access to another PC/Mac than the one where you had a problem first, I would run the firmware update on this other PC/Mac with the computer power supply connected, with no antivirus/firewall (except Microsoft antivirus/firewall), and with nothing else connected to the USB than DJControl Inpulse 500.
