Hi, a couple of weeks back I noticed that the Master Out phonos would come out slightly when I removed the cable. Didn't seem to be an issue, but now I get a horrific buzz through my speakers. Cables are fine - still using them with TRS adapters on the other Master Out. I suspect something has become disconnected inside - any ideas how to resolve? |

Hello,
Welcome to the forum.
1) What is your DJ controller? Is it DJControl Inpulse 500 or another model?
2) Please confirm if what your call Master out phonos are the master output in RCA format?
3) Do you get the noise in both speakers or only Left or right speaker?

Hi. It's a 500. Sounds fine from the TRS output. It appears to be the left hand channel on the phono out that's the problem.

Hello,
It is obviously the same message on https://www.facebook.com/groups/inpulse500users/posts/967469771023592/
The answer you have received on Facebook makes full sense but I do not think there is any issue on the ground circuit, I think the solution would be to replace the RCA connector. I do not believe the ground is polluted: - on this dual RCA right angle connector, both RCA pins share the same ground (pins 1 and 3 should be linked to the same ground) - so if 1 ground pin was polluted (as pin 1), the other ground pin (pin 3) should be polluted except if the pollution is not on the circuit but inside the connector itself. I believe the issue of the connector being damaged is more likely as you reported a move in the connector. So I doubt your noise is caused by to a ground circuit and I rather think your dual RCA connector is damaged, and replacing it should be enough (and it is easy): it is a right angle PCB mounted dual RCA connector, it is a standard.

Thank you for your advice. I suspected it could be that. Very helpful.
