[SOLVED] Hercules DJ 4Set EEPROM BIN

I have a problem with my console 4-MX, the console doesn't start and my pc doesn't recognise it
i couldn't manage to fix it
When I connect to the pc USB the MIC LED lights up and after a while goes out
I think the problem is with the eprom... Can u send me the eprom burner file of hercules 4-Mx dj controller please....
I'm currently using dell inspiron 15 3000 laptop which has windows 10 I hv both usb 2.0 n 3.0 
Processor - Intel core [email protected] x64 bit 
Windows 10 home single language (22H2)
Os build - 19045.2364

 Hello Stakker,

OK, it is normal the manual firmware update does not work in Windows as the device is not detected as a Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200.
I check on macOS the process and come back to you tomorrow.
If your mac is a macbook, please check if you have a USB hub powered by a power adapter.

 Hi Stakker,

I must imagine your mac computer is a MacBook as you could not precise the model of Mac computer.
1) If it is a MacBook, please connect a USB hub WITH A POWER ADAPTER to a USB port of your MacBook. 
2) Connect the DJControl Inpulse 200 to a USB port of the USB hub (and then to the macBook via the USB hub)
3) Go in Macintosh HD > Applications> DJHERCULESMIX > DJSeries > updater
4) Run the app manual_update.app
5) If the firmware updater displays the name of the controller as hereafter

please click on Open Audio button
6) Select the file DJINPULSE200_S401.dja, and click Open
7) The Firmware updater then displays 1.72 as Available on the line Firmware Audio

8) Check the field Flash at the end of Firmware Audio line
9) Click on Update! button
10) the firmware updater flashes the DJ controller firmware: at the end it tells you to unplug and replug the DJ controller
11) after repluging the DJ controller, close the firmware updater, and check if the Hercules DJ control panel can now, at the About tab, display a firmware version.

Hi UX Team,

It is indeed a Macbook. I followed your guide and the firmware updater does not display the name of the controller unfortunately. I also tried plugging in the powered usb hub and holding the browser button on the Inpulse 200 to get in bootloader mode but no success.

Edit: Oh wait i tried unplugging the power adapter on the usb hub then plug the usb to the macbook and then plug the power adapter and the controller went alive. It is trying to install the firmware update right now. Task in progress... Updating audio part. Please wait..

I will let you know the results if it gets done!

Ok the controller is showing some odd behavior. The firmware update did not get done.

When I plug the Inpulse 200 controller to the powered USB hub (disconnected to the PC or Macbook), it powers up and does the button light sequence on booting up to where it awaits the USB connection to the PC but once I connect the powered USB hub to the PC or MAC, the controller freezes/crashes and the software does not detect it anymore.

The software on both PC and Macbook did detect the controller at some point during the initial plug of the powered usb but then since the controller freezes/crashes, it does not get the firmware update or anything you want to do with it.

Please check if you can lift up the browser rotary button.

If the browser remains pushed down, the DJ controller enters in boot mode and is detected in the same way as yours.


To test it, please connect the DJ controller to the Windows 10 PC,

1) go in Device Manager in Windows 10
- press on Windows 10 key + X key on keyboard
- Click on "Control Panel" in the list
- and in Control panel, click on Device Manager

2) Develop the "Sound, video and game controllers" group

3) Check if you see, in "Sound, video and game controllers" a line 
"Guillemot STM DFU Device"
