 Hi all !

I´ve been reading the forum but I still not found anything on my error message.

I have a RMX console, which works perfect on Windows 7.

Now I got this MacBook Air:
1.3GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor 
4GB memory 1600 Mhz DDR3 OSX 
128GB flash storage

OS X: Versiòn 10.8.5 ( Mountain Lion )

Im trying to install this: DJSeriesInstall_4_69s.dmg


I pressed the Mic On/off Button, plug my console, the driver identifies the console, I select the RMX_TUSB.dja and click "Update !"

At that moment, the following message apperas:
"Bulk transfer to the device failed during TUSB update" 

Of course, the leds stay blinking and there is no further response..

I turn again, and connect the RMX to windows and works perfectly.


do you think which may be the problem on Mountain Lion?

 First off, since your console works fine under Windows and most probably already contains the latest firmware version, there is no reason to do a manual firmware reset and update procedure under MAC. Simply connect it normally to the USB port when asked to by the driver installer, just like on PC.

Now, as for the "problem" what may happen here is that since you are using a MacBook Air, it could be that the USB ports are probably sharing power and bandwith with other internal devices (camera, harddrive, etc), which could prevent the process to complete. Using a powered USB hub could help in there circumstances.

 First of all, thanks indeed for your response.

Actually I tried the "Mic on/off Button" thing, once that the common driver installation did not recognize the RMX.

I plug the console when indicated, click "Accept" button, but the console keep blinking its leds, despite of the fact that the installer did install all the control panels for all the models ( MK2, RMX2, TRIM, MK4, RMX, AIR, etc...)


Hence, the powered USB hub gain more sence on this situation....


just to be sure, the drivers installer and the Firmware updater are the same file, arent they ? (DJSeriesInstall_4_69s.dmg)
The only difference between one process and the other is the "Mic On/Off Button" pressed, or not, right ?

 The driver package contains all firmwares files, but these will only be used if necessary.

If upon installation the software detects that the controllers uses an old firmware, the firmware updater will be launched automatically to proceed to update the firmware. If the firmware is the current one, the updater will not appear.

The manual update process (i.e. holding the Mic button) is only to be used as a last resort if Firmware related problems occur. It is not an operation that users should normally have to perform unless indicated.

 Hi again, here my update.


Now I got my powered USB Hub. So, my Macbook Air and the RMX console finally meet, as it is shown on the image below.





Unfortunalty, the issue still remains.. I "uninstall" all the drivers ( Move the Hercules folder from Applications to trash) and I made sure that there were not files related to the RMX console on the Library/preferences folder.

Stil... when installing the drivers, I plug the console when indicated, the installer continue its installation, intall all the control panels for every model, and restart the Macbook...but the console keeps blinking for ever...


Any other idea... ?

Once the console is connected, could you open the manual Firmware updater :

Application > Hercules > DJSeries > Updater >manual_update


What is the information displayed under Current ?

Just another piece of information:
I connected again the console, and some other information was updated, when I entered the System Infomation.

Do you know how does Mountain Lion assigns the "ID Location" ("ID de la Ubicaciòn" in the screen) ??
Because, as shown, when Location was xxxx/24, the situation was  a little more prosperous.

Worth mentioning, ID Location changes everytime I plug the console.

 Well, finally I did it..

For those who had a brand new Macbook Air, let me tell you that no hercules RMX will work properly on it.

I got tired of plug it and unplug it on the USB 3.0 provided by the Macbook Air.

I bought a powered USB hub, but when plugged, my Macbook Air sudddenly shutted down...
so, of course I did not try anymore with that.

Finally, it was solved by using this little Noganet Table

which on its back, has some USB ports

I plug the console to one of those ports, and the table to the Macbook, I tried again and all of a sudden, when updating the firmware, the updater concluded it work, and Im now a quality dj on my macbook..jajajaja


When I asked for help to the Hercules Support, they old me that this was the problem, saying that the macbook had USB 3.0, and the Hercules RMX works on 2.0. But I refused following this idea, since 3.0 USB also works on 2.0 devices... 
but well.. this was the final chapter.


Hope this info helps another with the same problem...

 i know this is old post. I just picked the hercules dj console rmx controller. i'm using it on a 2009 Mac Pro. I got the software installed  but the software  both Virtual DJ or Djuced do not see the mixer,  all i get are the blinking blue lights. i did the firmware as instructed and used a powered usb hub with both 2.0 and 3.0 slots still get the same issue. When i run the firmware updater it shows that an audio update is available, i check the box and hit update and i get the dreaded message "Bulk transfer to the device failed during TUSB update"  ANything else i can try?  BTW the info for the mixer is showing as follow: DJ CONSOLE Rmx (fd316000) weird thing its showing Firmware audio Current 32 - Available 31?
