Hi, i'm a newbie using Hercules Rmx and Virtual DJ5 DJC edition, but its version 1.0 so doesnt seem to have stuff like the Config button option, and no playlist option and no choice of skins.
Is it worth the £100+ for the upgrade option? You seem to get more skin choices and samples effects etc but do i get the config button magically appearing as i really could do with the playlist option? I dont want to waste £100 on the upgrade only to find all i can use is sone pointless samples and effects that i'll never need nor use......

Ta Muchly

Hi matt,

To your question on the upgrade I would say a big Yes, especially with the special discount you get from owning the RMX.

http://www.virtualdj.com/forums/87892/General_Discussion/Special_PRO_v ersion_discount_price_for_Hercules_DJConsole_RMX___Steel_(Limited_edit ion_users).html?page=1

With the current exchanges rates the Pro version (without the discount) would cost you nearly £200, so I would jump at the chance by using the discount. You will get it for almost half price. If you are a working DJ you would make that back in a gig or 2.

To regirster your RMX on the VirtualDJ website( so you can get the discount) and to update your console edition follow this

http://www.herculesdjmixroom.com/en-us/blog/dj-console-rmx/how-to-upda te-your-virtualdj-djc-version/

I've never regretted and I've had the VirtualDJ Pro now for over 2 years.

As you know when you become a pro user, it's opens up all the plugins, effects, samples and skins (which you can use in the Pro version and are free) and even the updates for VirtualDJ are free too.

Hello mattstrongbow,

I agree you get much more functions with VirtualDJ Pro and if you intend to mix often, it is worth upgrading.

But VirtualDJ DJC 5.2.1 is not a so limited software. If you have
- updated you software to VirtualDJ DJC 5.2.1 (if you havd VirtualDJ DJC 5.0.7)?
- downloaded and read the manual from ftp://ftp.hercules.com/sound/manuals/VDJ5/VDJ_5_DJC_Edition_Manual_1_0 _English.pdf
you can see there are more functions than you may believe at first sight.

Regarding playlists, have you tested the use of virtual folders (in the directory browser, you click on the central icon with a + sign over a red folder to create virtual folders)
