Hi all! Im new to the forum and excited to start djing, however, i have a slight problem which i hope can be answered.

I have the drivers on hercules installed, up todate i believe, and they gave me the virtual dj 5 LE edition ( whihc im not to crazy about but gets the job done for now) But i have a problem where it keeps skipping in the middle of songs or if im trying to match songs and mix. I cant figure out how to fix this, and ive read topics but im very confussed. Ive done the trial on VDJ Pro 6 and it did ok, but not perfect either. Most people will say its my computer, but its farily new. Its got Intel Core i3 proccesor 330M ( 2.13GHz, 1066 MHz FSB) 4GB Memory and its fast. Im doing a gig at a friends party this friday and need to get this fixed asap! Is there other programs out there that are user friendly that allow me to use Hercules rmx? Please let me know!

First thing, make sure your version of VDJ is v5.2.2. If not, get it from the Virtual DJ website DOWNLOAD section (entering your serial number will be necessary).

Next, Apply the changes explained in this guide:

If all this doesn't help, then you will have to play around with the ASIO drver settings:

1) In the DJ Control Panel, switch to ASIO audio mode, and in the ASIO tab, the configuration should be as follow:

- 44 Khz

- 16 bits

- 480 (10 ms)

Raise or lower the ASIO Buffer Size One step at a time

2) Launch VDJ and use it as you normally would. If you still notice problem, repeat step 1) until you find the correct setting for your computer.

The Phat one!
