I am amazed by the lack of instructions in the manual, instead of telling you how to start using the product you just bought, it tries to teach you how to DJ and throw a party... ridiculous.
I downloaded the drivers (v1.77), installed them, and when I connect the device it lights up for a few seconds, so I guess its installed correctly isnt it?
So now what? I have Traktor Pro (the manual says it works with traktor) and Im trying to figure out how to actually make the RMX work. This is my first controller and I know nothing about midi mapping.
Can someone care to explain step by step how can I make this work? Im on Mac OSX. Traktor Pro v.1.2.1

I doubt you have many music controllers, as DJ Console Rmx installation manual is more complete than the manuals of the other controllers I have (Vestax VCI-100, Vestax Spin, Numark Omni-Control, DJ-Tech i-Mix and i-Mix Reload). If the installation software told you the installation was complete, then it was complete, and if, when running DJ Console Rmx control panel, in the About panel, all libraries and firmware are detected (if you don't read any N/A or not available mention), then the console is well installed.
The manual includes the sentence "If you encounter a problem with your product, please go to http://ts.hercules.com and select your language. From there you will be able to access various utilities (Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), the latest versions of drivers and software) that may help to resolve your problem.", and indeed it is in this area (in the download area: Genre DJ/Music > Family: controller with Audio > Product DJ Console Rmx > Link : software) you can download the information to use the software Traktor Pro: the preset zip file includes both the TSI preset for Traktor Pro, and the pdf file explaining step by step how you can set Traktor Pro.
PS: starting a post on a forum with a negative opinion (calling the manual ridiculous as you think some information inside is not necessary for you) is in my opinion not the best way to get help: when you walk in your city, you are not as likely to stop to help a unhappy person to find one's way if this person starts complaining "this map is ridiculous" compared to a smilling person asking "can you please help me, I am afraid I have lost my way", and it is the same on a forum.

- more technical details than needed is NEVER a problem,
- less technical details than needed is ALWAYS a problem.
