im stuck and confuse, i just download vdj 6 but my rxm console doesnt respond to it? help thanks a lot.....also when i donwload the vdj that came with it, is it like a trail not a full edition? becuase it doesnt give me full info like allow me to change skins or add other effect etc i need some help and im stressing it now since i bought it on sunday thanks again i might sound dumb sorry :-(

Hello BlessIam,
No, the VirtualDJ version included in DJ Console Rmx is VirtualDJ 5 DJC, it is not a trial version, it is a limited edition version.
- A trial version is a time limited version: whether you have 30 minutes or 30 days to test a software, it is a trial version.
- VirtualDJ 5 DJC is a version with no timit, but just some limitations of features.
(VirtualDJ 5 DJC includes a trial version of VirtualDJ 5 Pro).
1) Have you set your DJ Console Rmx as controller for VirtualDJ Pro?
Click on VirtualDJ Config button > go to the mappers tab
Do you see DJ Console Rmx in the field listing the detected controllers (on top left over the list of keys)?
- If yes, choose DJ Console Rmx in the list, and go to the sound setup tab, make sure the sound board selected in the Sound Board field is Hercules DJConsole RMX.
- If no, click on the button on right of the controller field, make sure the option "use HID devices" and choose the option "rescan for new devices", and select Hercules DJConsole RMX as controller.
2) If it doesn't work, please detail your configuration
- Are you on Mac or in Windows, and which version of Windows or Mac OS?
- Which version of VirtualDJ 6 did you install? You can know the number version in the Config > Info tab.
- Does DJ Console Rmx control nothing (for example, no control on crossfader), or does it control some functions as the crossfader, but not the Play button?
Answering to technical questions with
- more technical details than needed is NEVER a problem,
- less technical details than needed is ALWAYS a problem.

ok thats the thing i dont have a config button on the 5 djc should they be one? i'm running windows vista

First, thing, I would suggest installing the latest driver (2010.HDJS.2) for your console. This will help if you want to use VDJ 6.
Indeed, the included version does not allow skin, FX or plugin to be added.
