Hi everyone

I'm having an issue with the sliders position in my Hercules RMX, both with Traktor 3 and Virtual Dj.
The pitch, crossfader and volume sliders have a little difference in the hardware compared with the position in the software. For example i push the crossfader to the right channel, but leave a little bit space from the end, and in VDJ or Traktor i'ts already at the end.

At mid position, it seems fine with all the sliders.

Is it normal to exist a slight variation compared with the software or is it precisely exact?

Thanks

musk4

Hello musk4,

Yes it seems normal to me. In fact, on the sliders (and the potentiometers too) you have what we called a "dead zone" at the beginning and  at the end of the electromechanical components. It means that inside this dead zone you can move the slider or turn the potentiometer but no value is sent.

To check that your Rmx is ok and you can read this topic

I had a similar issue, what i was doing on the RMX with knobs & sliders wasn't occuring on the screen in real time.  The solution was reducing the size of the VDJ screen on my Lappy.  Good Luck!  -Z-
