hi all djs - for some reasons my music loads slowly and skips
as it plays. at first i thought restarting the labtop and the controller
would have solved the problem. do i need to update the software? if so,
where can i get an update? any insight here will be appreciated.

Without much detail about your computer (versions of Windows/OS X, processor speed, amount of memory, etc), the DJ software and the controller you are using, it is difficult to give you a precise diagnostic about what could be wrong, so if you help us out by providing some more information, we might be able to help.
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm using DJControl Air+ controller on Window 8. The controller worked well the fisrt two days
but for reasons unknown it started skipping the songs like a scratched CD. I tried songs from different files and folders, and itunes and i got the same bad result.
Before I returned to controller i will install the software on another labtop to see what happen.
*Any suggestion will help.

Returning the controller will not solve your problem : audio skipping always means your DJ software lacks CPU ressource, so you must optimize your computer settings.
