Hello i'm wondering if anyone could help me out with midi mapping with my hercules rmx. I'm using Virtual DJ Pro as my software and i'm wanting to turn my effects on my rmx instead of hitting the mouse on my lappy, is there also a way that i could change the parameter of my effect using the rmx?
Thanx alot guys, hope to hear from someone soon..Many thanx..

Everything is possible when you put a little effort into it.
I would recommand reading the Traktor user manual section regarding the MIDI mapping, then check the Visual MIDI guide available at this adress: http://www.traktorbible.com/en/midiguide.aspx
It might seems like a daunting task, but once you know your way around, you'll be surprised how much creative ideas you will have about the possible configurations you can do.

Thanx for getting back to me, not sure what you mean bout traktor as i'm using Virtual DJ Pro, i have used Traktor in the past and loved every inch of it up intill my bpm's were changing into the 90.000 ect and was unable to sync them, so i went back to the Virtual DJ Pro as i find it more reliable, mind you if you know how to sort that problem and are able to have my tracks at there normal tempo/pitch i would most definately go back to using Traktor Pro..

Hello Gavin,
You can modulate the effects on DJ Console Rmx with the MIDI mapping. The command for the first modulation is djc_button_slider 1, and the command for the 2nd modulation is djc_button_slider 2.
For example, to map the first effect slider on the Rmx Main volume slider, and the second slider on Rmx balance potentiometer
1) Run VirtualDJ 6.0.2, click on More > Mappers >
2) Open Hercules DJ Console Rmx map. In the list of commands, - click on MASTER VOLUME and delete the action. - click on BALANCE and delete the action.
3) In the single MIDI wrapper map - click on new, click on Auto-Learn, move the Main volume fader (I get the key 1-CC56), and type in the Action field djc_button_slider 1 - click on new, click on Auto-Learn, move the balance potentiometer (I get the key 1-CC55), and type in the Action field djc_button_slider.
4) Click on OK button.
With this setting, I activate the same modulation on the effect on both decks.

Thankyou for getting back to me but could you explain to me a bit more please, i understand what you are saying and can follow what you mean, but am a bit unsure about the volume sliders being active for my effects ect, will this not interupt my output volume whilst i'm mixing??..Really sorry if i sound dumb, but am in the process of learning to map my hercules and need some good advice from pll like yourself who know..
Nice one and hope to hear from you soon..

Hello Gavin,
All controls on DJ Console Rmx are software controls (except microphone commands and headphones volume), so when I suggest to open Hercules DJ Console Rmx map, and in the list of commands,
- click on MASTER VOLUME and delete the action, => I propose to take off the master volume function from the DJ Console Rmx (as you keep the deck A and deck B volume control, you can mix without setting a main volume), so the actions on the main volume slider will have no consequence on the volume.
- click on BALANCE and delete the action. => I propose to remove the balance function from the DJ Console Rmx (as you generally can mix witout balance), so the actions on the balance button will have no consequence on the volume.
