How to Update Your VirtualDJ DJC version?

If you have a DJ Control MP3, DJ Console Mk2 (VirtualDJ Edition), DJ Control Steel or DJ Console Rmx, you can download an update of VirtualDJ DJC by:
1)  registering on VirtualDJ website http://www.virtualdj.com/users/register.html

2) in the registration, typing your VirtualDJ DJC 3 or VirtualDJ DJC 5 serial number (you must use your own serial number, since there is only 1 registration per serial number)

3) and afterwards, when you enter in VirtualDJ update area http://www.virtualdj.com/download/updates.html you can see the last update to download.

Today, the last available updates are:
- for DJ Control MP3 / DJ Console Mk2: VirtualDJ DJC 3.4.1
- for DJ Console Rmx / DJ Control Steel: VirtualDJ DJC 5.2.1

Remarks:
- An update is not a upgrade: an update is for free, and you keep a VirtualDJ DJC Edition, you don't get a VirtualDJ Pro version. If you want to get VirtualDJ Pro version, you must buy an upgrade.
- There are no updates for VirtualDJ DJC 1 which was bundled with DJ Console Mk1.

At the moment, there is a good discount for owners of the RMX or Steel consoles, if you decide you want to upgrade to VirtualDJ Pro version.

Good topic!

I think not very much people know this especially the beginners. But I recommend to upgrade to Virtual DJ Pro. It has alot more features and doesn't look awful.

I think the Virtual DJ software that you receive with the "DJ control Steel" is a rip-off...a trick to buy the pro upgrade.

The usual 5.0 program is just a blocked version of the pro program so you have to buy the pro version to do a optimal dj set. even the old program which you receive with the little Hercules turntable is better.

For the people which have a problem with my critic... You'll notice what I mean when you get more experienced with the software... and If you have DJ experience you'll notice imidiatly.

The hardware however... just perfect!

I´m agree with justice, it´s  very much better my old 1.0 version of vdj than the 5.0, so i will try Traktor or Deckadance.

The worst it,s that i can´t make work the RMX with my old version :(
